Despite attending the same high school and university, the total time we talked over the span of ten years didn't even reach five minutes. So, when you invited me to visit you in Germany after I moved to the Netherlands, I thought you were just casually inviting me, and I turned you down right away. After that, since you messaged me again, I couldn't refuse, so I took the train to meet you, had hot pot with you, and it only took about five seconds at the restaurant for me to fall for you, even though at that moment you were winking at a 2-year-old girl at the table across from us. For a moment, I thought whoever was lucky enough to marry you must be really fortunate because you love kids so much, but little did I know that lucky person would be me.
We had a long-distance relationship for over a year, only met on weekends all the way travelling from the Netherlands to Germany, but as long as we were together, we always felt like home. Today, no longer 250 km apart, we are officially under the same roof and will be together for the rest of our lives.
